I suffer from large, painful boils every month during my periods. Sometimes I have eight at time. They appear under my breasts, in my armpits and in my groin. This had gone on for many years. A boil develops when a hair follicle, or the sebaceous gland which releases sebum into the hair follicle, becomes infected by bacteria. The most common type is Staphylococcus aureus. This thrives in the swear glands, which are abundant in armpit chest and groin, or areas that are likely to be rubbed, such as under the collar.

It is important to have your blood-sugar levels checked, if this has not been done already: diabetics get boils if the sugar level in their blood is not controlled.

This so-called ‘sweet’ blood always attracts infections.

Hippocrates, the great Greek physician who lived in the fifth century BC, cited boils as a typical example of a disease that our own healing power can deal with perfectly well if it is strong. A boil appears, matures, bursts and heals. The physician’s role in the past was to encourage the boil to mature by covering it with a paste of clay or termite mud, or a wasps’ nest, which is made of mud. The crust trapped heat and blocked the pores. The heat killed the germs so that the white blood cells could devour them. The yellowish green pus in the boil is a result of the process of the white cells attacking the germs. The pus is the source of the itchiness and throbbing pain. As soon as it bores a hole through the skin and bursts out, the pain disappears and the cavity heals on its own.

 Modern doctors panic about blood poisoning and want to give quick relief – so they prescribe antibiotics, which means bypassing the painful maturation stage. The problem is that the more antibiotics are taken, the weaker the immune system becomes reducing the body’s innate healing power. Since you get so many boils so frequently, you need to care for your own defective immune system. It’s also likely that you have an over growth of Candida albicans, which is often a result of taking antibiotics and is very much linked to boils.

To build up your immune system, you must foucus on your nutrition and general wellbeing

* Avoid yeast products and sugar completely for three months, particularly if you have taken antibiotics (as I have explained, these often result in an overgrowth of Candida albicans). Also avoid coffee, alcohol, citrus and sour fruits. This will aid digestion and improve the immune system by not draining the body’s energy reserves.

* Drink a mug of home-made chicken or lamb stock (preferably organic) an hour before your supper. Boil bones and meat for one and a half to two hours with garlic, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaves and a pinch of turmeric; strain and remove any fat. Make lots and refrigerate for the week. This will improve body energy.

* Massage your neck and shoulders twice a week for ten minutes with Lifestyle Oil  Alive, {8 for 2l0ml), or mix three tablespoonfuls of sweet almond oil with three or four drops of lavender essential oil. This will improve blood flow to the pituitary gland in the brain and kick-start the immune system.

* Since you are in the menopausal age range and the immune system is sometimes weakened due to hormonal imbalance, take my own formulation: Woman’s Hormone Support. This combination of herbs contains shatavari, which is useful in regulating hormonal balance. Take one tablet twice daily for four to six months.

* Drink Detox tea, one cup daily. Or soak three twigs of kadu and a half teaspoonful of kariatu  in a cup of boiling water at night, then stain and drink first thing in the morning. Do this for three months.

* Take zinc one l5mg tablet daily for two  months.

*When boils appear, suck two tablets of the homoeopathic remedy Hepar sulph 30 three times daily for five days. lf possible, consult a qualified homoeopath.

* At the first sign of a boil (usually when itchiness starts), apply Skin Oil on the affected area for five days.

* Use a strong soap, such as Dettol, to disinfect the skin.

There are millions of people everywhere who enjoy the relaxation of camping.  Whether you’re spending the weekend camping with your family at the local state park or backpacking through the backcountry, there are some general rules of camping safety that you should always follow.  Many of these camping safety tips are simply common sense, but it is still a good idea to review these guidelines before setting out for any type of outdoor adventure.

General Camping Safety
Camping safety begins before you ever set out on your vacation.  Check the weather forecast ahead of time and be prepared for rain or storms.  Pack emergency rain gear, as well as a well-stocked first aid kit, and plan to arrive at your campsite as early as possible.  You want plenty of time to set up camp before the sun sets.

Upon arrival, inspect your campsite closely for glass and harmful debris, poisonous plants and animals, and areas that may be prone to flooding in the case of a heavy downpour.  Set up your tent on flat ground and remove any rocks, branches, or other objects that could damage your tent or be uncomfortable to sleep on.  

If you are camping with children, check the campsite closely for fire ants, hornet or wasp nests, dangerous grades, and other potential hazards before settling in.  Wear light colors and refrain from using scented lotions, soaps, and perfumes to prevent attracting bees and mosquitoes.  Coleman citronella candles can ward off mosquitoes as well.  

Use caution whenever you operate your propane stove or grill and anytime you have a campfire.  Never leave any of these unattended.  Keep your campsite clean, storing food in closed containers and disposing of garbage, to reduce the chances of bears, raccoons, or other wild animals entering your campsite.  Never keep food items inside your tent.   

Hiking and Outdoor Activity Safety
Anytime you decide to enjoy the great outdoors, it is important to remember that you are in nature’s domain.  To stay safe, it is your responsibility to follow the proper safety precautions.  It is a good idea to become familiar with poisonous and harmful plants, animals, and insects that are common to your area.  Always carry a small first aid kit while hiking or biking and have knowledge of first aid procedures for outdoors.  If you should come in contact with poison ivy or sumac, apply calamine lotion to the infected area to relieve the itching.

Stay on the designated trail and avoid high grass and overgrowth.  Wear light colors so ticks are easy to spot and check your head and body for any possible ticks each night.  If you find a tick that has already bitten, remove it gently with tweezers, taking care not to crush the body or leave the head.  Clean the bite area with warm water and soap and see a doctor if you experience a fever or rash within the next few days or if you think the tick was attached for more than 2 days.

Never enjoy the beauty of nature alone.  Have at least one companion with you wherever you go and whatever you are doing outdoors and tell your friends and family where you will be and how long you plan to be gone.

Copper and Tin

This is the first type of mineral that you’ll encounter in WoW, and you will be mining copper until you reach skill level 65. The tops of rises, along mountain bases, and within caves are almost guaranteed mining location hot-spots.

Following the logical leveling progression, tin will be found in the next zones. It is most plentiful in Arathi Highlands, the Barrens, and Thousand Needles.

Iron and Mithril

Arathi Highlands, Stranglethorn Vale, Desolace, Thousand Needles, Hinterlands, and Tanaris are the zones where you can find greatest number of iron.

At level 175 you’ll be able to mine mithril, the best location for you is Hinterlands. No other zone in all of Azeroth rich in Mithril better than this zone. Badlands is good if you’re still pointing from Iron, as well, but again, you will find far more nodes in grassy zone of Hinterlands.

Silver, Gold, Truesilver

Silver is a rare spawn of a tin node, and can be mined at skill level 75. The best places to find silver are the same zones where tin is most densely located. Gold requires level 155 and is a rare spawn of Iron, and Truesilver will be found in a mithril node you can mine at level 205.

Thorium

Thorium is the ore requiring the highest skill level in vanilla WoW, Azeroth, it is found only in the highest level zones. You will typically receive more ores per node from the rich veins.

With a 230 skill level you can mine the small veins. Un’goro Crater is undoubtedly your best choice for the maximum number of veins, all located along the outside edges of an easily navigated circular route. Ride on over to Silithus. This barren desert wasteland is a hot spot for both small and rich veins. Circuits around the outside of the zone and inside caves and wasp nests will yield the most ore possible.

Dark Iron

You can mine dark iron veins at level 230. If you’re a completionist, or someone who refuses to purchase the Burning Crusade expansion, this may very well be worth doing.

This is just my experience for mining in Azeroth World of Warcraft, if you are interest, just have a try.

The black glitter and mirror pieces, inspired by carnival novelty prizes, are arranged horizontally against the entrance wall. They form a dichotomy between the fantastical and self-exploratory. The etched mirrors, inspired by self-reflection and personal perceptions, consist of a singular image, such as a colored target, a peacock, a flying goat, and the pop icon Madonna. These mirrors have been partially scratched off and much like Swanson’s earlier rhinestone covered objects these reflective surfaces play upon feelings of diffidence, desire and acceptance. They are glamorous objects full of aspiration, memory and nostalgia.

Also in the front gallery, five glass arrows seem to have been shot into the wall. These sculptures act as poetic anachronisms, futile and impossible in reality, but pleasurable for their romantic gesture.

Greeting the viewer in the rear gallery is a full-scale installation. A wooded mise-en-scene is composed of 17-foot beech and hemlock tree trunks framed by a canopy of tree branches acquired by the artist from the woods behind his father’s property in rural New Hampshire. In a gesture not unlike gilding a lily, Swanson has painted a peacock re-presenting it in a forced acrylic palette. Swanson employs the peacock as a symbol of male allure though it is underscored by a sense of self-questioning as the artist continues his exploration of the self. Handmade wasp nests and cages full of old liquor bottles hang from above in this forest of the subconscious. They are overt allusions to danger while the bird’s nests allude to safe havens.

Consisting of three main components, it is as if the work has been dreamed up by Swanson’s subconscious manifesting in glitter and etched mirror-paintings, hand-made glass sculptures, and a large-scale dioramic installation.
