The Mystery Of Mice Tails
I’ve seen mice do some incredible things. Like walking up a vertical cage wall and then walking upside down on the cage ceiling. I’ve also seen on U-tube mice successfully tackling highly complicated courses that most humans would find hard to do or even remember where to go.
One thing that baffles me though is why mice entwine their tails when you hold them in your hand. I call it the mystery of mice tails. When they’re in your hand they join tails instinctively.
I’ve put some pictures of it on my blog so you can see what they do. It looks cute, like strings of spaghetti wrapped around one another. I guess it’s like people holding hands.
I suppose mice do it to hold themselves steady. We know they use their tails to keep their balance, like when they’re walking along a rope. They also use their tails as tasting spoons. They stand on the edge of a dish or pot and dip their tails in to taste the food. A bit like you or me sticking our finger in food to taste it.
If you want a small pet that is fun and good company then mice are marvellous.
You might call them the ideal pets. The tiny cuties come in 40 different varieties and are very cheap to keep. Being so tiny they take very little space so they are ideal company if your are living in small accommodation.
